How to choose a industrial camera/microscope camera(2) – Frame rate

The maximum frame rate/line rate of an industrial camera indicates the rate at which the camera collects images per unit time.

Usually, the frame rate is relative to an area array industrial camera, and the unit is fps, such as 60fps, which means that the camera can collect up to 60frames of images per second.

The line rate is relative to a linear array industrial camera, and the unit is kHz, such as 80kHz, which means that the camera can collect up to 80,000 lines of image data per second.
