How to choose a industrial camera/microscope camera (3) -Pixel size

Pixel is the image unit, which is the smallest unit that makes up a digital image.

Pixel size and number of pixels (resolution) together determine the size of the camera target surface. Usually, the pixel size of industrial cameras is 2μm~14μm.

Pixel size reflects the chip’s ability to respond to light to some extent. Generally speaking, the larger the pixel size, the more photons it can receive, and the more charges it generates under the same lighting conditions and exposure time.
